The Bridgeport Total Learning Initiative is evaluated
by an independent research firm that implements
a rigorous, robust, multi-dimensional research design.
Formative evaluation is conducted on materials,
instructional design and delivery to provide a time-sensitive
feedback loop though which we refine accordingly. In this way
we replicate success.
Summative evaluation is conducted through randomized
control studies, or an experimental design. This research design
is the gold standard for research-based practice.
Students and teachers are tracked longitudinally
to determine success over time, with a goal of creating a sustainable,
replicable, research-based model.
In addition, observations and meetings with State Department
of Education personnel and others provide additional support,
help identify new hypotheses, and collaboration to determine
the scope of evaluation going forward.
